This was a fun experiment. I used a bass pedal I got from one of my coworkers along with an old door hinge to turn my Meinl Make Your Own Cajon into a faux bass drum. I originally wanted to be able to use it while playing guitar but I see a lot of other possibilities now. This was a fun afternoon in the workshop!

    Awesome.  Very timely because I just started looking for cajon plans.  This isn’t much more than the cost of the Baltic plywood and other materials.  I have plans for a bass pedal but saw I can buy them on eBay for around $20.   Thanks for your video and demo.  I’m glad I procrastinate a lot.
