I've liked this song for a long while but never tried to play it because I lack the skills to do it like Guy Davis or Mississippi Fred. But after a recent CBN discussion about making songs your own and not trying to duplicate someone else's sound - well here is a first draft of th song. I may come back to it and try it later.

  • There’s more Guy Davis in you than you think Uncle. Making songs your own shows great respect to the original, and adds your strengths and personality to manifest a current rendition of a great classic song. At least that’s what I tell myself, and it’s a whole lot of fun. Highway 61, two takes, two different perspectives, two different guitars, twice the fun! It’s a breath mint....it’s a candy. Yes! It’s Uncle!

  • Thanks, Ambrose.

  • A great rendition! You've given that song the UJ IOWA Sound!
