A great revisit Uncle to one of your finest originals. I was going to ask about Peabody, but your comments explained the song very well. What about white cars?

Nice one John , that peabody used one of the largest topland coal escavators ever bild , no wonder that he was not so liked , that monster eat thousand of cubic meters a minit in one hauwl , and just like kale say'd  it hauwled Paradice  away ! all those natural veuls ,coal ,earthgas, turf, oil , all are great poluters in the end waterpower ,wind, and Solar  will have the future , and there will be new discoveries as well , i seen this kid, that developt some sort of human dynamo! chemical  and human heat  seems to do the trick ! But mando Power is it for you ! Greeeettsszz A.D.

Thanks, Kale, Tee and Jim.  It's one of my fave self written songs.  Mr. Peabody was real, but not in my area.  Iowa had quite a few coal mines into the 1930s and 3 of them within five miles of where I live.  One was mined by black miners.  I believe the Iowa coal was a lower grade and dirtier and less efficient to burn.  I have heard that back in the coal days there were not many houses painted white due to the dirty burning coal.

During the depression, if a train with coal cars stopped, boys might climb up and throw off some coal to take home.

Nice job John. Not a tune I`ve heard before but I like it!

Great tune and performance John. Mr Peabody's coal train hauled paradise away, so I can see why you wouldn't want to work for that guy.

Thanks, Alan.  Yes, I did do this song before on a cbg,   I really like this mandolin and plan to 'revisit' songs I previously did on guitar.  Starting with some home made songs.

Nice bit of home made Mandolinin', Harpin', Singin' & Whistlin' 'UJ',  I seem to recall Mr Peabody from a few yrs back, probably on one of your beloved Tenor Builds ???   :-)
