@Steve: not really the same thing. It is more practicable and probably simply better for things you're doing day in day out - like logos. But it's still a decal, requiring sealing with polyurethane. Not really artistic (that's exactly "what the big boys do") and not quite compatible with tru oil (IMHO). Good for the "high-end" guitars but not really for a bit more "rustic" builds.
Simple enough to transfer photos on wood or uitar body, print the photo on some transfer paper, cut out the image and slide into place, wait for it to dry then seal with clear polyurethane - shimples! (-:

John, you can buy Mod Podge in the Uk from Amazon, ebay uk, Play.com etc etc.
I think it's just a water based varnish. Any "puzzle conserver" will do (IMHO)
what is mod podge in uk?
