Not sure how this forum works, but this will be my build sequence of building my entry.
Great! Two weeks into the contest and I decide to give it a try. Played around with some door skins thinking to build out of it, finally decided to use some parts where I took a wrong turn on and doubt I would build from them but can't seem to toss them out. Some baked maple sides and a neck glued up from sugar pine I salvaged from a pallet.
I am using Baltic Birch plywood for the top and back.
Routed out a soundwell out of some plywood. Might have got a little carried away with the clamps.

go man go.,,looks like a proper Dobro..,
I have some experience fitting acoustic necks. Very precision work and not much room for error. Looks like you got it though.
Ambitious, no kidding. It has been all that I have been doing since I started. I was worried about it at times as I have not done some of the things previously. I was unsure of the materials, was not sure if I would get it done in time. Had some hiccups and had to take two steps back and start again. But that is what makes it fun, right?
Enough whining, a few more pictures. The easy way to do a neck pocket I to get out the router and a few passes you are done. What the heck, I am short on time. Let's do it with a drill. razor saw and chisel.
Worked well enough. Not sure if I Am posting this in the right place, thought it should allow me to preview what I entered. Will find out in a second.
Pretty ambitious project. Looking forward to seeing it completed.
