I wish I had built my own guitar instead of dealing with the above "builder." fret metal was ragged and I sent it back, after he refused to pay for shipping. Kyle returned it to me a week later with the same issue. Buyer beware. Anyone have a clue how I can fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your help

Patrick, do you mean my new range of "Zilpha" reso guitars?
If the issue is sharp fret ends sticking out of the side of the neck this is pretty basic stuff to get right in the first place. Often the timber of the neck will shrink due to thermal and humidity changes, causing fret ends to stick out and feel sharp - this is quite a common problem. It is easily remedied by filing the fret ends flush, re-doing the bevel on the fret ends, and removing any sharp edges and re-radiussing the ends of the frets. Having said that, for a decent guitar maker it's basic stuff, but if you have to do this yourself you might find you don't have the right tools and skills to do it. It only took one customer complaining to me about this to make sure I paid attention to it in my subsequent builds.
I returned the item for a refund. I am unsure if he will follow through...TBD
What do you mean with «ragged»? Could you post a photo which shows the problem?
