On my instruments, I position the piezo pickups between a wine cork post and the sound board (I have done this with a wooden soundpost as well). It's all about experimentation anyway, to see what works, what will give one the SOUND. CHEERS!

Its a real science apparently... just a few mm can make all the difference, and even damage the back if its installed wrong.
