Yes, that's a CAO Cameroon cigar box lid for a pickup cavity plate...and a slice of rosewood veneer for the electronics cover.But I digress...this build went great...until I was drilling holes to mount the hardtail bridge...seems my week has been full of brain farts and the like. My first idea to fix it was to get a polished chrome plate engraved with "Farmer Ted's Guitars" to cover the debacle, but I refused to pay $40 for it. So I chose a more economical method...dowels. Why are they not same color as guitar body? To remind me never ever drill a solid body guitar without being damn sure what's gonna happen...haha.

  • Ha ha! That is a solution. The burl looks beautiful. I have at least one brain fart for every guitar made. I still have my first which looks and sounds horrible, but she's mine and not for sale. I keep her as a reminder.
