Weird old guitar.

Does anyone out their know what this is. My brother found it at a garage sale. It has a built in amp and speaker. Has no name or markings of any kind. Just a weird old guitar. Thanks for any input. If its something cool I wont take it apart.

    looks like a japanese   Teisco , they are  becoming  quite collectable .

    Hey man, that's a Silvertone 1487 made by Teisco in the 60's. Crazy looking but cool guitar especially if amp works. Nice find. Those Japanese pickups are great
