Last summer we had some baby owls show up every evening for about a week to drink and play in our birdbath in the back yard. Afterwards, my wife found some plans online for building an owl house, so I built the house and mounted it up in a Pecan tree we have. Well, lo and behold, we now have an owl nesting in it. She's been there now for about two and a half weeks. The "house" is about 16" square. We think this is one of the babies that has come back to start her own family. Just thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share. There be owls in North Texas!
