My first LP reso. Padron 3000 box (painted green); 1939 Maine license plate; oak neck with walnut & oak peg head; walnut/maple skunk-stripe fret board with inlaid walnut and maple dots. Piezo disc attached to neck under bridge. 24-inch fret scale.

I just did an LP as well, nice reso-y-ness...but what I did was remove the cigar box lid, bolted the plates on (matching set, 1 plate on each side), but the face plate I raised off the box like less than 1/4"...so the whole outer edge of the box is the soundhole, and it's pretty cool sounding. No holes in the plate, except the nail holes from previous owner's garage.
Thanks. It's a shorty plate on a Padron 3000 box with the middle cut out of the lid. I just lucked-out on the fit. I'll prolly be making my own boxes for the next ones.

Man...I have ton of plates, and can never find a box long enough. Is that a short plate, or a long box?
