The first and second guitars I made. The one on the left is my first, and has a lazy roundover on the neck, which makes it feel like a hockey stick. It fits my Canadian hands well though. It has a Fender humbucker pickup from the parts box and a volume pot.The right is my second, upside down using Home Depot woods. It is a piezo equipped fretless three string with markers. Initially I had built a flat magnetic pickup, but was having issues. This one has a piezo in a sandwich of oak and magic goop, as well as a Tillman FET preamp. No volume, switching is done via output jack. There is no finish on this except for some black acrylic paint to fill grain on the bridge, and a special brew of filler on the fretboard and sanded back to bare wood again. I need to redo the bridge and string tree in the same brew - it SHOULD look like the fretboard, but I was trying different things.
