  • P.S. I wear a 1963 George Harrison Beatles pin on that jacket, which George gave me personally.

  • Thanks so much Sparky! The Sgt. Pepper jackets have been my trademark since Ukulele Ray began. I wear them in remembrance of George Harrison, who was a dear friend of mine. When I met him in 1987, he came to my home to view my massive ukulele collection of over 1,000 pieces, at the time. He wanted to know, then, why I wasn't playing ukulele professionally. I told him, "ukulele isn't the cool thing to do (although I had played and collected them since childhood)... guitar was where it was at!" He stopped me cold, and said... "Ukulele is the only real, true instrument, and you've got the knack for it. You're funny, too!" Unfortunately, I didn't take George's advice until after he passed away in 2001. The rest is ukulele history.

  • Your ukulele's are clean and beautiful such wonderful work. But it is your uniform that really set them off. Wow is all I can say, it is people like you that keep fun alive!! Thank you!
