I made my own Ubass tuners using standard cheap bass tuners and added some motorcycle paddock stand bobbins to better support the elastomer strings...no way I was gonna pay silly prices for “official” ubass tuners when that’s basically all they did!
I bored the bobbins out to the same dia as the tuner pegs and fitted a grub screw...”simple as”...as if it EVER is! Lol.

Got it. I had to "adjust" the strings so they would fit in the pegs. I'm going to try this on my next one.
