This odd looking thing is my "Travel-Lite Jam Stick"... or the body for it, anyway When completed, it will be an ultra-lightweight, fretted 3 string guitar with a custom made internal amplifier, hand wound 3 string pickup, headphone jack, volume and tone controls, and an RCA jack to allow it to be plugged into an external amp.The neck and body are white oak, the fret board is mahogany, and the bridge and nut are both pupleheart wood.The idea was to make a small, lightweight semi-solid body CBG-style guitar, with low ambient resonance. I want to be able to sit in the living room, hotel room, or even on an airplane, plug in the headphones, and jam away while minimizing the disturbance of people near me.Hopefully, I will finish this tomorrow. This one will have a clear Lenax face to allow the nosey sorts at airport security to be able to see inside, so they know I am not smuggling anything. :) (I am traveling this weekend...I will let you know if it works)The length, head to tail is 24 1/2 inches (62.23 cm) and the width of the "body" is 5 inches (12.7 cm). I will weigh it when it has all the bells and whistles attached.
