Here are a couple of photos of TravellingCBG mark 3. The only difference from mark 2 is the type of hinges used. On the first joint I use a butt hinge and on the second joint I use a strap hinge. I will post photos of all prototypes within the next couple of days. On proto type 1 and 2 I have strung them and tuned them GDg and no distortion of the neck or hinges has occurred .In fact I have put a much greater amount of tension on the strings without affecting the tuning 5-7 days later. The stings have been loosened to allow folding of the neck at least 10 times without any string breakage. I am certain that using different hinges and length of each neck section a more compact CBG cab be arrange. Acoustically they sound great and with a large piezo and a small headphone amplifier directly attached they are great for practice.
