I've got several 5" toy pie pans and an equal number of metal measuring cups. Questions... A. Should I solder the cup to the pan or let it float free? B. Should I cut a hole in the pan or leave it intact? Which combo will produce the better resonator sound?

Larry, I have a few toy pans that i want to use on a reso uke sometime. Mine are not as deep as the one in your photo (maybe 1/2" deep). I'll be interested to see and hear what you end up doing. Good Luck!

I need some input from the more experienced about how to make a resonator out of these two pieces.
