The artful piece simply pulls out and is secured with tabs which were easily ground off wiht my grinder. I can use it for making patterns on the box which will be trimmed out with my scroll saw. Cost me about $4 bucks and they do have a larger size available, but it seemed too large for my cigar boxes.
