Two commisions from two DC ladies who came into my wife's shop, where I have sold 7 cigar box guitars this past month or so just by hanging them on the wall. I put a maple burl veneer on top of two non descript boxes. The sound hole cover is a hacked sawed off egg flipper. Mixed up and stained one with maroon and one with purple dye, which was was hit with Danish oil and then clear coat spray for cars. One has a zero fret; the other has a bone nut. The wings on the head stock are cherry left over from my building construction. Ran pins in the side of the headstock to stablize the cherry. Learned a LOT on this build- especially on correct intonation from Justin Johnson on Youtube. Go Justin! You are a fantastic humble player and a great inspirational teacher (and I have been an inspirational artist/professor all over the world myself- so I know one when I know one when I see one!)
