Yes, the lid is an inch high, the whole box is made out of 1/4 inch wood. When I cut the space in the lid for the neck I cut it a 1/2 inch deep. This left a 1/2 inch for the neck to set on. so the seeing how a 1X2 is really 1 3/4 X 3/4 that leaves a 1/4 inch of the neck that set higher the top of the box. And yes I'll up load a video for you so you can hear. I have another box like this one I'm going to make electric using the piezo. And I counter sink those in the neck.

Norris very cool, is there a space between neck and box top? The finger board all along the box is real nice. Beautiful work. Sound check?
