I ended up sort of bookmatching, or trying to bookmatch, the pieces of walnut on the neck. The effect is much more noticeable on the back of the headstock, but you can kinda see it here, too.One of the trippy things about this headstock: depending on the angle you view it, one side looks darker than the other. You change your angle, and suddenly the left side is lighter in color than the right.
