    I should make clear that it's not my work, but commissioned and made to my specs. Oddly, the only departure from my wishes was the bridge (I'd said brass) and it was the first thing old eagle-eyes Uncle John spotted!

  • Thanks Peter for the vote of confidence. I might replace it with a brass equivalent next time I change strings- or I might not... The knobs were hand-turned from a piece of deadwood found in a local park; they look almost walnut I think.
  • In my experience, anything will work as long as it's hard enough and not too flat. The aformentioned grey piece looks ok to me :)

    btw, I like the look of those control buttons!
