The tailpiece is a foot off one of my Menising dough bowls and a picture hanger hook shaped to fit the bowl and drilled to take the end pin screw.

Sorry for the typo AGP. Glad you found the info. I see a lot of Munising dough bows on ebay. The company must have turned thousands of them. Great patinas on the old ones. I have three different logos on the ones I've collected. The oldest is a wavy line of letters and has a small foot. The newest have three feet. The wood is thick. It takes tacks well and I haven't split one yet. Just the right size too. From ten to thirteen inches. Banjo size. I think you'd like one.
Intrigued by the "Menising Dough Bowl" description, and hating not to know what it means, (as per "Kenodai"), I had to Google it, and it came back with "Munising Dough Bowls", named after their namesake town !!!, just goes to show, you learn something new (nearly!) every day !!!
