Now I can cut out the tin to fit the neck. Careful consideration has to be made to account for the height of the bridge, so the strings will be the correct distance to the fretted neck. With a standard banjo skin head, the bridge will depress and lower itself so that the fretboard will be flush with the banjo rim. With a tin lid, there will not be near the flexibility, so that has to be worked out and accounted for when considering how the neck will sit in the can.
