You can make a cutaway its best if the box is solid you could do a stick through and use the opening as a sound hole.
Look out for the little guy he has a knife!
I need a 6-string CBG. But I need to get a bit above the octave before my hand hits the body. Is that realistic?

Thanks Jerry, yea they are big enough to builds 6 strings and were all solid wood. The ply bottoms work.
