  • Got my first Mac (PowerMac G5) two years ago... have since added 13" unibody MacBook and 15" MacBook Pro. After 13 years of battling with MS-Windows based systems, I felt "free at last" with the move to Apple. I really can't imagine going back; the Macs & OS X just mesh better with my pitiful brain...
  • I dig Surly's products. I have a 1x1 myself along with a Trek XO1, Cannondale 3000 and my wife's Trek 7500. Sorry to hear about your hip but glad you're still pushin' the pedals. Macs too! I've got an iMac and just bought my wife a mac book.
Sounds like we have some things in common.
  • Thanks, Bruce... you're a bit far from this Old Man for me to meet you half-way. I was an avid road rider until I broke my hip in a stupid cycling fall nearly three years ago; I retired my sexy Italian steel road frame & skinny tires in favor of a Surly Cross-Check with a little more rubber but I transferred all my Campy parts over to the new frame. I love the "Surly" and my "Mac" computers... add that to my "sunny disposition" and that's why I'm called "Surly-Mac". Total hip replacement (and politics) gave me the blues; I spend my time these days PLAYING the blues on harmonica, keyboard and a little ukulele... and now I'm just getting into the CBG phenomena.
  • Would love to go for a ride with ya sometime.
