Thanks Brian! Molding for a fretboard is a cool idea I had not considered. I have never used a dowel for a neck to this point, but the idea of cutting a dowel to length and simply attaching everything else appeals to me for low labor necks for my BYOB (Bring Your Own cigar Box) classes. The idea morphed to a D neck (easy to make with a router and a roundover bit) because the screw on fretboard was problematic. I’m confident a longer scale length will give better tone with fishing lines, so V2 will get a new neck soon; it’s on my workbench.

Kool, I do Diddley bow’s in a similar fashion, but I use molding & toothpicks for the fretboard?
