  • A simple way to stop scarf creep is to drill a couple of shallow 1/16" holes in the neck piece then insert a couple of cut-off brads.  Leave them sticking up about 1/16".  When you clamp your headstock on, it won't move.  I also use this method for glueing fretboards to the neck.
  • The pointed end is a result of cutting a pair of necks out of one piece of stock.
