spring loaded bridge

Notice my aweful metal working skills.. sound hole looks like its been gnawed by rats! When I first strung it the pressure of the strings caused the lid to cave in. So I found a spring & thought it would take the pressure of the lid. In my haste I also glued the tail piece on with superglue....
