This is a 1 1/2" X 3" diameter designer escutcheon swag hook, victorian style piece made by National. Cost me a buck at my local hardware store, but I could not find one in shiny brass and could not locate where to purchase any more of them. This piece is dome-shaped and I believe would work well as a soundbox cover, especially on a Punch cigar box as shown. It is only laying on the box to show what it may look like if used.
