So I got an idea from seeing a photo of a double lap steel guitar. I got this box from a garage sale. I've installed a humbucker pickup on the left and a 4 pole single coil pickup on the right. May add a toggle switch as well. Tuners should be here today. Making them both 4 strings. Considering adding a fifth string down the road. Problem I may have though is I'm using a couple of bass guitar bridges and they are wider than the fretboard and neck that I am using. I just woodburned the frets. In my head I'm telling myself it doesn't matter for playability because i'd be using a slide and the fret markers are just that, markers, while playing slide and won't be fretted. However with the bridge wider then the fretboard they will start fanned out further then the fretboard and then come together at the nut. Might be cool, might look ridiculous. I'll at least be able to string it up and hear it. Considering I really only make these for myself and some friends here and there, if it sounds cool that's all I really need.
