Solid Body Dulcimer

This was suppose to be a cigar box dulcimer,but the maple neck was slightly bowed. I hated to throw it out so I screwed it done to a piece of oak shaped sort like a teardrop dulcimer. It worked but obviously its not as loud as a box dulcimer.I'll probably put a stick on piezo to amp it.. 24 iinch scale, mandolin tailpiece to hold to strings,

    Would make a great lap steel with that great shape. Perfect for your two legs. Slip a hot pickup in the strum space close to the bridge and it would howl. Beautiful work.
