  • Yep. Read the book by Cheryl Strayed. Can’t come up with the title just now. I think they made it into a movie with Reece Witherspoon. Can’t vouch for the movie, but the book was good!

  • I hope you can find "The Way".  It's so good that Linda and I have seen it 3-4 times.  There's also a pretty good book by, I think Cheryl Strayed, on walking the Pacific Coast Trail.  And a book called I'll Push You about a friend pushing a disabled friend in a wheel chair on the camino.  That one does not tell enough about the camino for me.

New to me, we watch All Creatures Great & Small on PBS.   Just saw a PBS of a popular 4 day walk in their beautiful part of England.  And on that same program found out there is Coast to Coast walk across England.  I just need to be younger, richer and more ambitious.

  • I have read Bryson’s book. The part where his buddy dumped out most of his pack on the first climb cracked me up! I’ll have to check out “The Way”. I’ve read a lot about the Camino and it would be awesome to do it.

  • I used to want to do the trail too.  Now I am more wishing to do the pilgrimage camino in Spain.   Probably too old and poor to get it done.  Have you read Bill Bryson's book about the Ap. Trail?  Fun read.  Or see the great movie, "The Way' about the camino.

  • Thanks Uncle John! I’m a long time hiker and always wanted to do the trail. Haven’t found the time yet, but it could happen.

  • Cool box and theme.
