  • I was thinking that too. You could build a winder and power it with the treadle- I've seen grinders set up like that, and one in the museum converted for spinning wool. I always have trouble keeping the balance wheel going the right direction though- but I can wind bobbins better than I can sew treading. Too fast for me- I prefer a hand-crank!
  • Nice.  When I grew up all the women had similar treadle sewing machines.  But to me. it looks kinda like a winder for a magpu.
