Hey Bob, the neck is the most important part. It needs a truss rod or at least a 5/16" diam. carbon fibre rod set into the neck under the fingerboard in a slot with car body filler. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hey shortscale, I have someone asking me to build a bass but I don't know enough about them. What differences are there in building an every day cbg compared to a bass cbg? Does the neck need to be stronger?....truss needed? I know the scale length is longer and the strings and tuners are different. Just don't know about everything else. By the way, very nice looking bass!!!! Thanks for any help you can send my way!
