Thought you'd like seeing this control panel. It's ancient. This pup works! The pots are super stiff to turn though. I've sprayed with tuner cleaner, but they turn as stiffly as before. I suppose they need changing out, but a pitty. Any ideas?

Just a drop, don't flood them and it should be fine. You can spray down the inside of an old automotive distributor when they get wet and it displaces the water, pop the cap back on it it works fine. Doesn't seem to have any effect on connections, if anything it keeps them cleaner.
I'll try that Thomas. I've not used lube on pots before as i thought it might screw up the sweep contact. These old pots have a solid metal shaft without grooves or a slot in the middle. They are cut off at the top with nippers at manufacture. I've never seen these before. I hope they can be saved. They are cool...

Give the shafts a drop of WD-40.
