My new pickup fits perfect without any body modification. The paper control plates are my templates for my wood plates (to come next). I'll use some thin rosewood that is dark to contrast the yellow perloid body covering. I used the footprint on the body to make my templates. There's a clear outline under my paper on the body. I like the ghosts of the slide on the fretboard. You can see just where the former player did his work most. I can learn from it.
