Thanks for your comments James. Yep that's oak and the instrument has a nice bright tone. The one I have on the bench now is poplar with oak sides. I'm curious to see how it sounds when compared to the oak. I may post a video after while if my boy gets home in time to run the camera for me. See Ya!
