The headstock is one of the main features of the guitar.It was born of a mistake in shaving a little too much wood from the sides when trying to tidy up the scarf joint.It took quite a lot of 'faff' to come up with a design that worked. Poplar was eventually added to the sides of the point and after more pondering the final almost oak leaf shape was formed.
