It's a 'lap steel', only made from solid mahogany. And yes, that really is sticky tape holding down the excess wire. Still a CBG despite the total lack of box!

It did, Mad Dog, it did. Thirty minutes noodling through a Vox VX1- magic! Then I wrapped it up and gave it away and now it's sitting under a Xmas tree 200 miles away...
