27" scale, and actual bass strings- the D and G, so it seemed natural to tune it DG. Nice resonance- I think it would hold its own in an acoustic session- but this is not a keeper either. I'm not actually a bass player, and I've already got a u-bass and a monstrous two-string Cooper original, which I'm thinking of fretting and loading up with the other two strings. The 30mm neck is just that little bit easier to fret- about 14.2857% easier- so the pressure is off a bit. I still hurry too much getting the strings on though- could've sanded off the edges on this, but no: had to hear what it sounded like. Ah well, perhaps age will bring maturity...
