  Yeah it does kind of feel good, it cradles your hand without impeding playability (which I was concerned about during the build). Thank you for your compliments.

  Wow, that's great. Great job meeting the flat headstock to the leaf. Great craftsmanship. Must feel good to play, sliding your hand up to the nut position against the leaf...

  No, it was not added. I carved it out with the neck/head stock unit.

  Beautiful! Is this an added piece? It would be very hard to carve it out of the neck wood...
