Romeo y Julieta 4-string

My first build! It is a four string, made from a small Romeo y Julieta box, cheap wood, second hand fender tuners, leather nails, eye bolt, and a bone nut. It has a very nice tone, very loud, please let me know what you think.

  • I'm going to tweak this guitar anyway, the eyebolt is too big. The string height at the box is > 1 cm. A little too high...
At the nut the string height is 4 mm. Maybe the dull sound when i'm pressing the string is gone then too.
  • nice, my box is the same size as yours but the hinge would be on the smaller side, so i'm going to use the back of the box as the sound table and put a sound hole on top of the box.
  • The hinge is on top of the pic. The sizes of the box are: 200cm*140cm*70cm.
At first i thought that this would be too small, but the sound is considerably good. (accoustic)
Too bad i never learned to play the guitar, i'm learning it at this time. (on this 4 string :) )
  • nice first build, is that one of those boxes that opens lengthwise? I have a small romeo and juieta box that is like that.
