Let me tell you a story...This how the box was when I bought it. I thought it was a neat looking lid. After I started working on the guitar, I realized that the previous owner had taped the lid on with the inside showing out. I was going to razor it off and restore it to the original position, but I like the way this looks, plus I had just built another Roi-Tan, and they would have been the same. (I try to avoid that). So I left it with the inside of the lid showing.
