  • Not at first Jim. In fact I shelved it for a while because I thought it would absorb too much energy. Then I realized the rods vibrate when the guitar is struck, bumped or tapped on and you can also strum the rods for rhythm with a pick. Since the rods are at accending and decending depths through the neck, the rods are actually tuneable with length and depth variance. And all this before it gets strings. Anything you add/remove or modify to the structure of an instrument will affect its output, lets hope this one is for the better. thanks for taking the time, I have four or five versions of this on the bench, let you know when they go up for sale and what folks say about thier new Xylonator Guitars...
