The metal lid I use for the resonator is the inside circular lid from a Eu Long brand cookie tin. I like using this for a resonator since it has a fairly wide "lip" around the edge that will cover most of the ugly inaccuracies of my hand-cut resonator holes. The lid will be held in place in the resonator hole of the soundboard by string tension via the bridge.
