Nice Brian, i'm at the tail of my time to do this work, but it's just what i like to do. I love the craftsmanship of these old ladies too. They used some good materials too.
I've been workin' repair for several music stores for years,it kinda comes with the territory to own hundreds of guitars over the years, Vintage American/Euro guitars are my favorite because of their superior craftsmanship.
That's great Brian. You've had a lot of guitars. You have a lot of knowledge. That's what i like about Nation. Lots of interesting people and great guitars.
No, no original knobs because this was an acoustic. I've converted her to electric. Those vintage knobs go for rediculous prices on ebay. People take good guitars apart for selling each piece. That's how i get most of my guitars is in husk form, stripped of their cloths. Makes them cheaper though. I kind of like these big white knobs. Their kind of cup cakes. I like the contrast to the body. I'd love some vintage knobs on her. I do have the original scratch plate. It's a simple black thin plastic that has sagged. The wood looks much better and is rigid.
