I just put her on ebay today. Thought you might like a chance at her. She's the best Regal i have. A high end Regal that i got from an 87 year old gentleman who played it in college back in the day. Check out my ebay under "vintage ukulele".

Thanks Maddog, i'm about to put another on ebay. This one is a great little Harmony form the 40s. An early one with wood pegs, wood fretboard. Perfect logo on the head.
Yes Maddog, that was done by hand. Sure makes for a glowing look. Maybe string stretched over the wood but not touching and a spray across with the black leaving blurry light lines. Combined with the wood grain under the finish (Walnut) it just shimmers in the sunlight. I've had a few faux grain finishes, but they all went vertically and wavy.
The old Regals are built well for being low end ukes of the day. Everything was made better then. We've cut the bottom line till it's a joke these days. Most of my Regals are solid wood and not laminates. The tone tells the story. Sweet. The guy who did the airbrush work on the rosette and faux wood grain sure had skill.
