Old guitar plus LED fingerboard and some LEDs inside and on the headstock. The fingerboard LEDs can be on / off / depending on the playing position

This is normal hammer-on /pull-off playing technique. LEDs are connected to frets under the fingerboard and the battery negative pole is connected to the strings.
