It was a proud moment. I always cringe before I flick a switch I've gotta admit, I have blown many an item over the years and flames. Go go self taught fixer! Just need to get that neck done and get over the guitar cringe!

Yeah the one in the pic is my first build. It turned out better than i expected but I've done a lot of research since then and I think my next will be even better. I've got plans for a resonator built into a wine box with a traditional 3 string neck and since I'm a heavy metal fan I'm gonna try to build a CBG and add some extra pieces to the box to make it look like a Dimebag Dean. If your not familiar with heavy metal just google "Dimebag Dean" and you'll see thousands of results lol
It's a sweet looking guitar though! (Guessing that's it in your photo). Most o my parts are salvaged and modified from a crappy pawn shop guitar, the amp came with it for $50. My sister hated them both and The amp fizzled fast (quality crap i buy!) so I played more salvage games. Guitar body is pretty much done. Working out some neck issues. I do have plans for the rest of my pawn shop special. Including not letting a neck go to waste. Just picked a fine piece of salvaged free wood out of my pile and plotted out a slide guitar I'm going to slap together while my guitar waits a couple weeks so I can get over my fear of failure and plug into the amp. The slide guitar is going to a toddler who thinks I'm cool, I'm about to be ultra cool!
Well get cracking! That amp looks awesome Would love to see what the guitar you build to go with it looks like :) I cheated on my first build and used a lot of parts including the neck from a $30 pawn shop guitar so my first build only took 4 hrs and happened the same day i decided i wanted to build one. Now I just gotta get familiar with open tunings and slide guitar instead of heavy metal lol.
Good looking! I just built my first CBG last week and built a Cigar Box amp to match tonight. My Amp doesn't look near as good as yours but it's fully functional :)
